LYME DISEASE Q & A VIDEO SERIES

Do I need to change my diet if I have Lyme disease?

ANSWER:

Diet makes a big difference when it comes to Lyme disease. Even before they get treated for Lyme, my patients will find out that they feel crappy after simple sugars, processed sugars, after alcohol; so they can really begin to get better by starting to have a better diet, staying away from all those junk foods, processed sweets, staying away from alcohol. When I start treating with an antibiotic, I encourage them to keep those dietary things in place. Be careful with your diet; it certainly can help you.
