At age 10, Sophie began getting headaches, blurry vision and lost the ability to walk. She was confined to a wheelchair.

Ira began having flu-like symptoms. His Lyme disease test was negative and he was told not to worry about it. The symptoms progressed and began impacting his brain. He couldn’t dial the telephone or remember his name.
