Treatment-resistant seizures associated with Lyme-induced immune dysfunction.

This case report highlights a 25-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl who developed new-onset seizures that did not respond to anti-seizure medications, worsened with antibiotics and was temporally associated with Lyme disease.

Seizures improved dramatically or completely resolved after treatment with IV steroids, IVIG and antibiotics.
